剣道とワイン Kendo and Wine

八段を目指す高段者の先生方が多数集まる稽古会に参加してきました。剣風はそれぞれに違い、先生それぞれに剣風が違って、稽古頂いたすべてが新鮮で感動しました。

帰り道、師匠の熊谷先生に話したところ、「子供のころはみんな同じように基本を教わるけど、ひとりひとり自分の形になってくる。生んでくれた親も違うし、育ちも違うのだから体格から性格がみんなそれぞれ違って当然、自然と自分に合った剣道に変わってくるのだよ。」とおっしゃっていました。

ワインは土や風や気候はすべての要素がワインを完成させます。剣道もそうかもしれません。ひとりひとりじっくり熟成されていくのですね。今日はワインで乾杯ですね。

I participated in the Keiko meeting a lot of 7 dan senses who challenges 8 dan. Each of their kendo styles were various then I was sincerely impressed

On the way back home, I asked my master Kumagai sensei. He said that when we were child we are all taught the same basics, we become to change gradually and establish our independent style. As their mothers are different and their growing environments are different, to adapt their kendo for their own body is natural.

I think it resemble wine. Wine are accomplished by many elements of soil, wind, climate and so on. I suppose Kendo may be same. Each of kendo becomes mature gradually.

I will toast with wine tonight.
